What is an LOI?
A Letter of Invitation (LOI) is an official invitation issued by a licensed tour operator or accredited organization in Kyrgyzstan. For citizens of certain countries, an LOI is required to apply for a Kyrgyz visa.
Who needs an LOI?
Citizens of countries that do not have a visa-free regime with Kyrgyzstan. Travelers from the USA, EU countries, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and most Gulf states do not need an LOI thanks to the visa-free policy (30–90 days). An LOI is required mainly for citizens of India, Pakistan, Iran, China, and some other countries.
